With our new project “Marshall One,” Diamona & Harnisch is pleased to announce that it has adapted its planning and construction to the DGNB Gold Standard.
The DGNB's sustainability concept is based on a three-pillar model comprising economic, ecological, and social aspects:
The DGNB's sustainability concept is based on a three-pillar model comprising economic, ecological, and social aspects:
- Economic efficiency means that we consider buildings from an economic perspective and over their entire life cycle.
- Ecology stands for the resource- and environmentally-friendly construction of buildings.
- Social focuses on the user and the neighborhood of the building.
Sustainable action can therefore be said to exist when these three dimensions are brought into harmony.
Sustainable construction means not only using environmentally friendly, healthy, and recyclable building materials, but also reducing energy consumption and avoiding high transport costs and emissions by consciously choosing regional building materials.
To document this claim, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has developed the DGNB Gold Standard. In the certification process, auditors accompany the construction project from the planning phase through material selection and execution to completion, and certify it after construction is finished.
